Dr Clare Holt
Prior to obtaining her Doctorate from Warwick Business School, funded by the Vice Chancellor’s Special Award, Clare worked in Air Traffic Services with NATS Ltd (formerly National Air Traffic Services). During this time, as well as being an operational Air Traffic Controller, Clare managed and completed several projects including Unit Investigation Procedures, Hazard and Risk Analysis, and Open Reporting.
Clare’s main area of interest, research and writing is around the subject of Relational Leadership. This includes Blame versus Just Culture, the importance of constructive dissent and difficult/effective conversations, complex problems, and engaging individuals to work more effectively together.
More recently, Clare has taken on the role of Course Director for the PGDip/MSc Leadership in Healthcare at the University of South Wales, along with advising Doctors Association UK (DAUK) and the General Medical Council in the areas of Just Culture, Effective Communication and Professional Behaviours.
